This is an exciting role specifically created to capture and drive value-added industrial products both in Australia and overseas. It will require you to build a sustainable export program, predominantly in Asia and the Middle East; maximise sales of value-added products into OEMs and other industrial type markets; and, support local sales of value-added products through traditional building products sales channels. This is both a strategic and hands-on role with one direct external sales report.
With a proven background in building export markets for value-added commodity products, you are sharp with numbers, able to build collaborative relationships internally and externally, and influence positive outcomes. You are capable of balancing strategic sales with direct customer management with a long-term view. You have excellent competencies around pricing strategy and maintenance, know how to negotiate and build business across diverse cultures, and naturally have knowledge around overseas shipping details such as export licences, customs declarations, packing, shipping of product, etc.
