In this key senior role, you will be responsible for ensuring the business’ compliance with employment law, and that its ER policies are in line with current trends, are fair and aligned to the values and culture program of the company. You will be the advisor and coach to the business’ leaders so that they can deliver on their people plans. Of critical importance will be your handling of complex employee grievances and performance issues and leading the company’s enterprise bargaining agreement negotiations. Equally, you will drive strategic people plans and lead the operational success of the HR Business Partnership structure that services the business. With four direct reports, your challenge will be to effectively deliver HR programs across a complex, geographically dispersed organisation.
With a minimum qualification of a relevant bachelor’s degree, you have significant experience in a senior generalist HR management role with specialist knowledge in industrial relations matters and employment law. Experienced with a geographically dispersed workforce, you have a track record of effectively resolving industrial disputes, and previous experience in achieving enterprise bargaining outcomes that further the productivity, efficiency and flexibility of the organisation. Pragmatic, decisive and strategic with high emotional intelligence, you are trusted advisor capable of building strong partnerships, and managing conflict.
